Weddings and Holy Unions at Unitarian Universalist Church of Fort Lauderdale (UUCFL)
At the Unitarian Universalist Church of Fort Lauderdale, we want to help fill your
special day with wonderful memories. Some couples come to us from differing traditions.
Because we honor all spiritual paths, they find us a happy middle ground.
We believe that your ceremony of commitment is one of the most important milestones of your
and your spiritual partner's life. Whether it is a wedding or a holy union, our minister and
staff are ready to help you create a day you will always treasure.
From our years of experience working with many couples, we have learned that every wedding and holy union
is unique. So we offer several wedding and holy union packages to accommodate your needs, tastes, & budget.
You may choose from several marriage and holy union ceremonies, and all are beautiful. All are
nondenominational in content, relaxed and joyous in style. We are confident you, your fiancé, your
family and friends will all be touched by the ceremony. Alternatively, you may choose to work with
the minister and design your own ceremony.
All wedding and holy union ceremonies at which our minister officiates include a consultation with the minister. This is a
"getting to know you" session. Knowing your plans and interests is important in effectively
serving you.
1-Hour Garden Ceremony
If you wish to gather a group of 12 or less in our Gardens or at our labyrinth,
and you have someone to perform your ceremony,
we would be pleased to offer you a serenely picturesque backdrop.
We can provide a comfortable room for the bride
to rest before the ceremony, a covered seating area where the party can gather before
taking their place in the Gardens, and use of restrooms.
Garden ceremonies take place on Monday or Tuesday for a selected hour between 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM.

15-Minute Ceremony
If time is short, our minister can spend 15 minutes performing your ceremony on our patio or in a hallway. Price includes minister's honorarium.

Ceremony at Location of Your Choice
Home, garden, and special ceremony locations can also be arranged with us. Price includes minister's
honorarium and possibly extra transportation.

Simple Ceremony
Designed for those couples who are simply standing before our minister with immediate family attending.
We have several services drafted for you to choose among. The simple ceremony includes a small fee
for our lovely Sanctuary or beautiful gardens, and the minister's honorarium.

Designer Ceremony
Custom designed for those couples whose party consists of the couple, best man, maid of honor,
attendants, and immediate family. The designer ceremony includes research and special words by our minister,
for instance a homily about you and your family. This ceremony includes a small fee for our lovely Sanctuary
or beautiful gardens, and the minister's honorarium.

Deluxe Ceremony & Reception
Share your wedding or commitment vows and then celebrate with your guests in our
lovely Sanctuary or beautiful gardens.
Decorate our Sanctuary to enhance your union ceremony.
This ceremony includes a fee for our Sanctuary
or gardens, seating and tables that you may arrange as you wish for the ceremony and reception,
and set-up to clean-up.

Reserving Your Date
To hold your date on our minister's calendar, a non-refundable deposit is required.
To hold your reservation on our church calendar, a non-refundable deposit is required.
Full payment is due 30 days prior to your wedding or holy union.
