Welcome to Care-A-Lot

Our hearty band of thespians set about and produced a marvelous spoof upon the Broadway Musical Camelot. The original script was created by Shari Cootes, a Nashville UU. Dan Teslow customized it for our location and history. We portrayed the mystical UU land of Care-A-Lot satirizing our UU silliness about money. A good time was had by all.

The Cast
Care-A-Lot Reprise

Each evening from October to October,
Before you decide if you'll pledge or not,
Think of what you receive here and remember,
to Care-A-Lot!

Let ev'ry member realize our story;
And tell it strong and clear if they have not:
We each can help restore the beacon's glory,
If we care a lot!

Care-A-Lot, I care a lot!
Now say it out with love and joy!
Care-A-Lot! I care a lot!

Our choir could purchase songs to lift our spirits,
Curricula revised year after year.
And now that we have call a settled minister,
We can pay her well,
If we care a lot!

Care a lot! Care-A-lot!
In short there's simply not,
A more congenial spot,
For happ'ily-ever-aft'ring,
Than right here, when you care, a lot!
