We want you to feel that you belong at our church and develop pride in and commitment to UUCFL.
We want to get to know you by worshiping, working, and socializing with you. The best way for these things to happen is for you to volunteer to help on committees and participate in group events and activities. |
Our bylaws describe our committees. Here is a summary.
A church standing committee is long-lasting, has a church member as its chairperson, and meets with some regularity. It deals with some aspect of church leadership or physical, spiritual, personal, philanthropic, and financial health of the church. The minister and at least one member of the Board of Trustees act as liaisons between the committees and the Board.
so you can choose ones that meet your skills, needs, or interests. |
Our church groups tend to be affiliation groups, regular gatherings of people with common beliefs, talents, interests, or causes they champion.
We have humanitarian, social, support, cultural, spiritual, and environmental groups.
to find groups that appeal to you. Read about our participation in the January 2011 Martin Luther King parade in Fort Lauderdale. Apply for an Endowment Committee grant for your cause before the mid-November deadline. |
