Interweave is a membership organization affiliated with the Unitarian Universalist Association, dedicated to the spiritual, political, and social well-being of Unitarian Universalists who are confronting oppression as lesbians, gay men, bisexuals, transgender persons, and their heterosexual allies; and facilitates the celebration of the culture and lives of its members.

Interweave was held an organizational meeting on Sun October 1, 2006. The meeting was chaired by Monica Pavlik and Jay Donnelly and attended by several UUCFL members who wish to see Interweave reorganized and active within UUCFL. Minutes of the meeting were taken by Scott Severance. It was decided that Interweave would meet intermittently on the first Sunday of the month at 1PM.

Once a year members and friends of Interweave gather nationally for Interweave Convocation (Convo), a chance to spend a weekend in a safe space, learning, laughing, letting our hair down, celebrating ourselves and rejoicing in our chosen faith. We are Unitarian Universalists gathered together for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Concerns.

Our Interweave Group is inactive at the present time. For more information, please contact Mary Bardis at mabardis@hotmail.com.

Every Sunday morning, there is also a more general UU Church Service at 11 AM. Child care begins at 10:30 AM. Interweave folks attend this service whether we are meeting or not.

We are located 2 Blocks North of the Main Post Office on 21st Avenue, from Oakland Park Boulevard, and West of I-95.

For more information, contact Mary Bardis, Monica Pavlik or or contact the Church Office at (954) 484-6734 or by email to UUCFL@aol.com
