Our Vision and Mission Statements
(Here is a draft, for we are forever a work in progress)
| Vision:
We are a beacon for religious freedom, celebrating the dignity and worth of each person. We are an intentionally diverse community of individuals creating a loving, respectful, safe, and peaceful environment for personal growth and the celebration of life. We support each other in our search for truth and meaning through education, worship, fun, friendship, and community service. Missions: To create and sustain a beloved community based on Unitarian Universalist purposes and principles through effective and caring communication. To take concrete actions to better the world at large in order to fulfill our collective commitment to a more just society and a healthier earth. To celebrate the meaningful rites of passage in our lives and in our community. To support individuals, families, children and youth in their spiritual growth through lifespan education, Sunday services, and group experiences. To be effective stewards of our heritage and facilities. -- As Adopted unanimously by the Congregation May 16, 2004. |
