UUCFL Staff
UUCFL has a wonderful staff of gifted professionals who coordinate together to present our Sunday Services,
Religious Education, Music and other services both at the church and beyond our walls.
Co-Choir Directors
Susan Dirgins-Friend and Robert W. Smith
Susan is a double bass player and librarian for the Boca Raton Symphonia. A former member of the bass section of the Florida Philharmonic, Susan, in addition to her work with The Symphonia, works free-lancing around South Florida. Susan is also a music teacher at the Dillard School of the Performing Arts in Fort Lauderdale and at the Donna Klein Jewish Academy in Boca Raton. She is a graduate of the Indiana University School of Music, obtaining both her Bachelor of Music Degree and her Master of Music Degree.
Co-Choir Director Robert brings many talents which include being a multiple instrument player - specializing in sax, other woodwinds and percussion.
He has been a touring, performing, and studio musician, being a part of many bands and orchestras, and working side by side with some of the world's most renown artists. Robert is also blessed to be husband to our dear Rev. Susan Smith.
You will also see Robert working on many Sunday mornings running the
audio-visual elements in the service.

Reverend Gail Tapscott was our spiritual counselor and settled Minister for
17 years from September 1999 - June 2016. She continues in full fellowship with the Unitarian Universalist Association. Gail holds a Master of Divinity Degree from Harvard Divinity School. She has been bestowed the title of Minister Emerita by a grateful UUCFL congregation.
Rev. Gail has relocated to her childhood state of Mississippi where she continues to find plenty of ministry and social justice actions to keep her schedule full.
