Know your UUCFL Board and Endowment Committee
Elected at our May 22, 2023 Congregational Meeting. Updated - November 2023 - Jean Deering was moved to Vice President and Janet Logan...
As in all UU congregations, our Board of Trustees is the governing and policy-making body of our community.
We use the title Board of Trustees intentionally as it represents the wishes and visions of the voting members of the congregation as its main source of motivation in the use of the democratic process.
The Board is elected by the congregation and the congregation votes on major issues and policies for the Board to carry forth throughout the year.
Between Meetings of the Congregation, our Board of Trustees is the policy-making body of our community. Our Board has 7 members including five Church Officers: President, Past President, Vice President , Secretary, and Treasurer, and two additional Trustees.
Elections are held at our Annual Congregational Meeting in May.
Our Nominating Committee assists in seeking out candidates from among the voting members of the congregation. People can also be nominated by notifying the board President or a member of the Nominating Committee at least 20 days before the Annual Meeting
Our Board meetings take place in the sanctuary on the
third Wednesday of each month at 7:00pm (via Zoom)
These agenda-driven meetings include discussions of old and new church-related business.
The Minister, church members, and friends are invited to attend Board meetings. Visitors wishing to present information should notify our President at least one week prior to the meeting.
